In the USTFCCCA's Preseason regional rankings, the Valley has five men's teams and four women's teams ranked in the top-15. Bradley, Illinois State, Loyola and Southern Illinois have both their men and women ranked. Sam Penzenstadler of Loyola and Sidney Hirsch of Wichita State earned MVC Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors.
